Outpatients is the place you go for all of your check up appointments. You will
see the senior doctors who helped to look after you in hospital. It’s a good time
to go and ask questions and tell them about how you are getting on.
If you are having problems you can talk about them here. Maybe your doctors have
given you some new medicine and want to know how you are getting on or maybe they
want to know if you are recovering from your operation and ABI.
Going to outpatients takes a few hours out of your day but you can go home or go
back to rehabilitation after. Don’t worry! Going to outpatients isn’t the same as
going back to intensive care or going to the ward again. It’s usually as easy as
going to a doctor’s appointment at home.
