First day nerves
Nobody likes that Monday morning feeling and it can be even worse if you haven’t not been to school or work for a long time. Everyone gets these feelings from time to time.
There are lots of things you will be worried about. Perhaps it would be a good idea to sit down with your a parent, teacher or support worker and think about the sorts of things you are worried about.
You will be able to see your teacher before you get back and ask them some questions about what it will be like on your first day back. You won’t be alone, there should be lots of people trying to help you at school. If you feel overwhelmed by everything that is going on, make sure you tell a teacher or parent.
If you are going to a school there will be lots of people there to help who all understand the sort of things you are going through.
Just like when you adjusted to your injury, you will spend sometime adjusting to your new life at school.
This can be very tiring so you can make arrangements to go to school to help you ease back in gradually.
